Some of you have expressed a desire to see more, and I have decided to present other creations that I find particularly interesting.

The first is a reinterpretation of a 17th century classic painting entitled Scenes In and Around Kyoto by Iwasa Matabei 岩佐又兵衛 (1578–1650). 

It is composed of two folding screens of six sections each. (Below)

They are among the most famous Japanese paintings in history.

Murakami’s reinterpretation of this classic is a huge six-panel horizontal painting that covers a large wall of the museum.

After this paragraph you will find some pictures. What I would like you to do is to look in the picture for the pop characters that are represented in each of the pictures.
