My March Guest Lecture at the University of Vienna
The Relationship between Subjectivity and Society in Modern Japanese Philosophy
In March, I was invited to give a guest lecture at the University of Vienna.
It was an honor, to say the least, to present some of my research in such a place.
It is known as the oldest university in German-speaking countries, and one of the most prestigious research institutions in the world.
I am not talking about rankings such as “The Times Higher Education World University Rankings” or the “Shanghai Ranking”, but about what this place has produced. Nothing less than the work of researchers like Erwin Schrödinger, Friedrich Hayek, Theodor W. Adorno or Sigmund Freud.
My lecture was held in the philosophy department of this university. I was very surprised by the friendly conversations that followed my talk; an art of debate that I have not seen anywhere else.
Here I offer my paid subscribers full access to the slides I presented there. This file is of course confidential, as it will probably be published in some other form in the future. That is why I should limit access to it, but I think it might be of interest to some of my readers.
