As I announced in January, I am organizing a philosophical essay contest.
Two winners will have their essays published in Philosophy and Beyond, my Substack newsletter, and will receive cash prizes: $200 for the Free Subscribers Contest and $300 for the Annual Paid Subscribers Contest.
The deadline for submitting your essay is June 30.
Participants should consider one of the following questions:
Are democracy and truth compatible?
Does responding to environmental crises require the end of capitalism?
Should we consider “non-Greek” influenced traditions of thought philosophy?
So far, I have only received two essays, which is far fewer than expected. As a result,
and I will evaluate the essays in a short committee (probably around a nice dinner!).To learn more about him, I recommend visiting his excellent Philosophy Substack, Freelance Philosophy.
One part of this contest is free! The winner will receive a $200 cash prize deposited into their bank account. There is no risk in submitting your essay.
Another section is reserved for my rare annual paid subscribers. They can enter both contests with a single submission and, at best, win the $300 Annual Paid Subscribers Contest cash prize.
All participants must be subscribers to Philosophy and Beyond, either free or paid.
The conditions remain unchanged and are the same as those indicated in the post below. I only corrected the announcement date for the winner, which is in July, not June.
Matt and I are looking forward to discovering your amazing insights.
With best wishes,
Romaric
Too bad it is too late to participate. The June 1 deadline to subscribe is passed.
Romaric&Matt/Xhoni,
I do like your initiative.
The latter proposal would be a likely sphere for me. Kindly understand this is a practically open space and universe I would enter... With great respect I prefer to abandon this.
My focus is dedicated to The Democratic Republic of Kosovo, and its perspective, potential and societal interaction. It was in three years I was wandering around and within this young country what I name my home, including complex historical fundament as a base for its development.
This would easily fit into your number 1 also. Either way my contribution to knowlegable and profound closure of your joint focus would fail. I wish you good success.
Namaste, Xhoni
