Who am I?
I am Romaric Jannel, a philosopher living in Japan.
My career began in the civil service, but my passion for philosophy led me to a new path.
I studied philosophy, logic and Buddhist philology in France and Japan. I received my Ph.D. in philosophy in 2020.
In 2023, I published my first book in French titled Yamauchi Tokuryū (1890-1982). Western Philosophy and Buddhist Thought.
What Is This Publication About?
Philosophy and Beyond is a publication dedicated to three things:
To help people learn about philosophy, especially Eastern and Western philosophies from a comparative or intercultural perspective.
Promote philosophical inquiry beyond academia.
Promoting intercultural dialogue by sharing my experiences of living, working, and traveling around the world.
