How can a philosopher not have a bias? It seems to me Nietzsche is asking any philosopher in history to have a purely objective viewpoint, which highly question the very possibility of. Which is not to say, the biased view does not bring us closer to a clearer picture of the whole.

I do not think that Nietzsche really believes that objectivity is attainable. Rather, he is saying that philosophers are not objective, even if some pretend to be, and that this should be taken into account in understanding, interpreting, and evaluating the specific contributions of their perspective. My thought is that as someone who wants to create philosophically (which I do), this should also be taken into account.

That seems totally reasonable and well within the realm of his thinking, for the little of him that have read. Thank you for your view, it makes more sense than anything else have taken from him, in this part of your thorough going over his writing.

Thank you. I myself am rediscovering some dimension of his views and rhetoric as I comment on them.
